San Andres is a small island in the Caribbean, outside the coast of Nicaragua, however it belongs to Colombia and it is a popular tourist destination. The ocean around San Andres is the most beautiful water I have ever seen, they call it the sea of seven colors and it is absolutely true. The water shifts color from dark blue, to purple, the turquoise, to green, to light blue etc. We mostly spent our days swimming in the water or sitting on the beautiful sand beaches and enjoying the heat and the view!
We also had some amazing seafood! Crab, fish, octopus, lobsters... Octopus Carpaccio is now one of my favorite things! It sounds disgusting, raw octopus! But when it's thinly sliced, served with lemon and a mustard sauce it is just incredible!
So Easter was very relaxing and we had the best time, I even got a slight tan!
